CYBERSECURITY WEBINAR SERIES FOR SMALL BUSINESSES: MAY – SEPTEMBER
Nearly every week, there’s a new cyberattack, threat, or ransomware, plaguing our businesses and organizations, putting sensitive data at risk. To learn all about the fundamentals of cybercrime and cybersecurity, what’s at stake, and how you can better protect your business, there’s a free cybersecurity webinar series for small businesses that kicks off on May 27, 2021, and runs each month through September. The Small Business Cybersecurity Series: Protecting Your Business in 2021, is hosted by the Oregon Small Business Development Center, Mount Hood Community College, MasterCard, and the Technology Association of Oregon.
Presenters include:
Melanie Gersten, director, Cyber and Intelligence Solutions, Mastercard
Ron Talwalker, director, Cyber and Intelligence Solutions, Mastercard
Rebecca Ledingham, global vice president for Cyber and Intelligence Solutions, Mastercard
The digital shift for all businesses caused by the pandemic last year has resulted in an expanded opportunity for connection and growth. This shift has also resulted in an increase of cyber attacks, more points of failure for a breach, and a renewed vigilance of business owners to protect employees and customers. As companies commit to permanent “work from home” and hybrid work situations and industries continuing to automate, cyber risk will grow and evolve as quickly as solutions are implemented.
With these new realities in mind, organizations should be baking cybersecurity and privacy into every business decision or plan. Whether you are a solo-preneur, are adding a digital component to your brick and mortar business, or automating your manufacturing facility, this 5-month series will provide you insight to protect your business online.
