Joscelyn Zell

Joscelyn Zell is an Account Manager at McKenzie Worldwide, bringing sixteen years experience in technology, consumer and corporate public relations. Her expertise lies in creating communications platforms that engage and resonate with key audiences, running the gamut from mainstream consumers to C-level executives and technology developers.

Zell most recently served as a Vice President at Edelman where she managed Microsoft's Xbox Corporate business and was the U.S. co-lead for the consumer launch of Microsoft Vista. She's also worked with a variety of companies spanning multiple industries, including Columbia Sportswear, Starbucks, Greenlight Greater Portland, Learning.com, InFocus and Vulcan, Inc.

Through her work on the Microsoft Windows Vista and Xbox, she gained intimate insight into the paradigm shift that has taken place in communications -- making a significant impact in today's environment requires engaging people in meaningful discussion (and with people they can relate to) versus simply pushing out marketing messages. Zell works with clients to help them understand this shift and create campaigns that weave this new approach in with traditional media relations so they can maximize their results.

Prior to joining Edelman, Zell spent seven years at Waggener Edstrom managing Microsoft product launches, bringing emerging technologies to the mainstream, managing major industry events, and developing effective communications for corporate crisis and legal issues. She also worked at a boutique agency for two years, launching startups and helping small to midsize technology companies establish their corporate image and build credibility in
