Rob Goodman has worked on the agency side and in-house for both large and small companies devising media and analyst relations strategies, organizing product launches, initiating customer programs and developing global coverage tracking systems. He has helped manage accounts and has generated results for many Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft, Oracle, SAP and Siebel as well as smaller companies, including DocuSign, Open Text, Centeris, Cataphora and Tut Systems. Prior to joining McKenzie Worldwide, Rob worked at Tektronix as the public relations manager for the Instruments and Video Business Units. He is a strong writer and while at Tektronix he focused on writing press releases, presentations and media backgrounders that were used to fuel global public relations activities by the regional public relations managers.

Previously, he was a senior strategist at OnPR where he managed several accounts, secured new business and mentored members of the team. He was responsible for generating coverage of Siebelís two main products lines as well as managing the overall team budget and coordinating global coverage tracking and reporting. In addition, he managed the successful launch of startup Centeris as well as public relations activities for Tut Systems and Cataphora. His work with Tut Systems helped to generate coverage in The Wall Street Journal.

His clients have also been featured in Broadcasting & Cable, BusinessWeek, CIO Magazine, Computerworld, CRM Magazine, InformationWeek, Investorís Business Daily, Microsoft Watch, The New York Times, Optimize Magazine, the San Francisco Chronicle, Telephony Magazine and online at TheStreet.com and Xchange magazine among many other publications. He also secured two key CNN stories for his clients. In addition, he is the author of an informative article on competitive public relations practices that was published in the Portland Business Journal.

Rob has worked at agencies Waggener Edstrom, OnPR, Ketchum Public Relations, Applied Communications and Regis McKenna Inc. In addition to Tektronix, he worked in-house at Commerce One and Apple Computer.

He has a bachelorís degree in history from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
